Madrid is one of the most traveled Spanish destinations from people all over the world, especially by the Europeans. You cannot expect the major tourist places in Madrid to be uncrowded but in case you're looking for something off the track in Madrid then you must visit the following listed sites. These sites in Madrid are a little non--touristy but these places are great attractions.
Parque del Retiro
This is a charming park that is situated in the Madrid's center. The park provides a great atmosphere with a number of streets performers that are present there on the weekend. The day was great enough to enjoy the pond or take pleasure in walking and jogging over a number of trails are present. The park does attract a number of tourists who like to see Spain of the track, especially over the weekend.
Natur Alcala
Alcala de Henaras is a great Spanish place where one must go during summer and spring months especially if you are a family and have children in your group. The park has vegetable and fruit gardens, herb gardens and vineyards. A number of agricultural activities are available for the entire family to indulge in.
Tren de la Fresca
This train is much better known as the Strawberry train and is used by a number of English speaking residents in Madrid. One can enjoy rides on this 19th century the stem engine that stops at Museum of Falluja and the Royal Palace. These rides are only available on Sundays on Saturdays and can be a great activity for people of all ages.
Prado Museum
The great art museum does not actually qualify as a non--touristy attraction but it has large Goya collection.
Cosmo Caixa Pintor Velazquez
If you are around with children, this international science museum can be a great place to visit. Located in the suburban of Alcobendas of Madrid, this place should not be missed.
Village of Chinchon
This picturesque town is situated just about 80 miles from Madrid and is known for the lovely main square that it has made a number of Spanish restaurants and caf?s.
Real Cafe
Placed on the Avenida Concha Espinal, the place is popular with soccer lovers because of the great views that the stadium has. The place has very casual atmosphere and is known for some great cuisine.
